We infuse raw, organic vanilla beans into our balm, making it the most deliciously smooth treat for your lips. Two different vanilla oils and the tiny vanilla bean seeds that stay behind create a delicate, heavenly vanilla scents.

Did you know the gorgeous orchid like vanilla flowers last only one day and must be pollinated within twelve hours in order to grow a bean?

The beans take ten months to mature and then must be stored for another six months to develop their precious flavor. Truly magical.

We love the Sun. It’s amazing. We believe limited, smart exposure is actually pretty o.k. for the skin.

But for those long exposure times, our SPF 15 Sun Balm will give your lips the extra protection they need.

It glides on silky smooth (and virtually clear) like our regular balms but we formulated it to be extra thick and creamy for longer staying power while out in those shining rays! Juicy Tangerine, Roman Chamomile and a hint of Vanilla make it nourishing and calming for your lips.

Packed full of amazing cold pressed oils to moisturize, protect and heal.

Red Raspberry Seed oil: Exceptionally high in tocopherols, this lovely oil nourishes the lips, is anti-inflammatory and proven to help in the absorbance of the Sun’s rays.

Sea Buckthorn oil: Super rich and off the charts in essential fatty acids, carotenes, tocopherols, and phytosterols which are great for healing sun-damaged lips.

Pomegranate Seed oil: Deeply penetrating and an anti-oxidant powerhouse; remarkable for the outer epidermal layer of the lips.

Here’s the deal with Zinc Oxide. We use non nano Zinc Oxide in our Sun Balm. Zinc Oxide is the only all natural, broad spectrum (blocks both UVA and UVB) sun screen available today. Zinc Oxide is a mineral. It protects your lips by sitting on top of them and thus, provides a physical barrier against UVA and UVB rays. It actually deflects the rays away from the skin to prevent any harm. For adequate protection it must be applied often.

You really only need one or two swipes of Sun balm for protection, many swipes will indeed give your lips a white tint.

Be sure to apply it often for protection and to keep that physical zinc barrier alive and well.

As an interesting side note, to get our SPF 15 factor verified, our balm was laboratory tested on…Humans!

We are always thinking (ok, obsessing) about unique, beneficial and all natural balm combos. Decidedly, we took a challenge; to create balms based on basic Ayurvedic Dosha principles.* Ayurvedic who? Dosha what? Hurraw is lucky to have an Ayurvedic practitioner on staff so bear with us here. Talk about obsessed! After two years of diligently formulating our asanas off, satisfaction arose.

We infuse rich, cold pressed organic sesame seed oil with plants, fruits and roots known to compliment each Dosha. We melt in our creamy raw organic coconut oil, rich raw organic cacao butter and emollient cold pressed organic castor oil. We mingle in a trio of flavors from pure essential oils and all natural flavor extracts to create a unique, long lasting, very nourishing lip balm.
